How do I connect to my state's electronic filing manager (EFM)?

As a One Legal customer, you can use your account to eFile in courts using an electronic filing manager (EFM). To do this, you need to register your account with the county or state EFM. The EFM is a case management system being used by some courts in California, Illinois, Indiana, and Texas. It is necessary to register with them for proper tracking of cases, parties, and attorneys associated with cases. 

Registration with the electronic filing manager is mandatory for eFiling into many California, Illinois, Indiana, and Texas courts. It is a one-time registration that, once completed, permits access to all courts utilizing the EFM. 

To connect to your state's EFM, log in to One Legal and select My Account in the top right corner. Select eFile registration and select the state into which you would like to connect.

Once you have set up your EFM account, your registration is complete and you can file into any court in that state which uses the platform.

If not already connected, the system will prompt you to connect to the EFM as you start to place your first transaction.
