Real-Time Updates

As your service progresses, you’ll receive status updates in real time. Our process servers log every attempt through the One Legal mobile app, which updates your order immediately.

When service is completed, you’ll typically be notified within the hour that your documents have been successfully served.

Preparing the Proof of Service

Once a serve is marked complete, One Legal prepares the official proof of service (or non-service affidavit).

• The proof is created using the applicable official court form.
• Each document is reviewed for accuracy before being finalized.
• The process server who completed the serve must review and sign the proof.

This preparation and signature process typically takes 2–3 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.

Rush Orders

If your order was placed as a Rush, your proof of service will also receive priority during document preparation. If you need your proof urgently, include a note in your order instructions, and our team will do their best to expedite it.

Filing the Proof of Service

If you selected the option for One Legal to file your proof of service, we’ll handle the filing automatically once the proof is complete and signed. Please allow an additional 1–2 business days for filing and court acceptance to be reflected in your account.

Receiving and Accessing Your Documents

You’ll receive an email notification as soon as your affidavit or proof of service is ready.

These documents will be available for download in the Returned Documents tab of your Order Details page.

If One Legal filed the proof for you, you’ll also receive standard court confirmation once it’s accepted.
