How do I bookmark my exhibits?

Effective January 1, 2017, bookmarking your exhibits on an electronically filed document will be mandatory pursuant to California Rule of Court 3.1110(f). A bookmark is essentially an electronic exhibit tab. Failure to bookmark your exhibits could result in a rejected filing - but luckily, bookmarking exhibits is very easy! Just follow the simple steps listed below. You will need to open your document in a PDF program such as Adobe Acrobat.

  • Once you have opened your document in Adobe Acrobat, scroll down to the first page of your first exhibit. You may either right-click or use the command CTRL+B. Once the command box appears, click Add Bookmark.

  • A box will appear on the left hand side. Double-click on the word Untitled, then title your exhibit.

Repeat these steps as necessary for each remaining exhibits!
